What's new in Elecard DirectShow Codec SDK 4.0

New components and samples with Intel® Quick Sync Technology support

Elecard DirectShow SDK 4.0 now supports Intel Quick Sync hardware acceleration with new implemented Quick Sync components and samples (SimplePlayerQS, SimpleEncoderQS) providing significant performance improvement and higher speed of data processing. Quick Sync components provide a complete solution for processing video on GPU (including decoding, post processing and encoding) while CPU can be used to perform other tasks.

Elecard MP4 Demultiplexer is enriched with the support of Apple ProRes and Apple HDV9 elementary video streams.

New functions of Sink Filter

Elecard Sink Filter is powered with additional capabilities providing data recording to file/file sequence starting with I-frame.

New functions of SimpleEncoder sample

SimpleEncoder now unifies all file encoding samples which makes it possible to change desired formats and encoder’ settings within a few clicks. In addition, it is enriched with a new function enabling file encoding or remuxing files without encoding.

Updated SimplePlayer sample

For better convenience, SimplePlayer now unifies all samples, performing file playback.
