More Control, Less Effort: What’s New in CodecWorks 4.11
We’re excited to announce a new version of Elecard CodecWorks packed with performance upgrades, extended platform support, and major usability improvements. Here’s what’s new:
Smarter Event Handling
We’ve redesigned the Events System from the ground up. You can now configure automated actions in response to stream events through a dedicated web interface — giving you more control under ETSI TR 101-290 monitoring with less manual effort.
Custom Templates
Users can now create and configure templates via a new web page. This brings a higher level of flexibility to building workflows tailored to your infrastructure.
Stream Recording System Reworked
In the new version we have redesigned the recording system and added buffering. Now you can record only the problematic section, not the whole stream.
Instant Task Management
Our latest optimization allows the system to instantly manage over 100 tasks simultaneously — even under heavy load.
Web Interface Enhancements
We’ve made significant usability upgrades:
- Now errors and tasks where they occurred are highlighted in color, and problematic tasks are automatically placed in a separate list.
- Now sound notifications for stream issues are available.
- Easily upload and download task schemas, and download logs, DOT files, and dumps directly via the web interface.
Support for the latest standards and technologies
- Added support for Ubuntu 24.04.
- Integrated CMAF packetizer support.
- Added support for packetizing based on the Low-Latency HLS and MPEG-DASH standards.
- A new video decoder can now dynamically switch codecs without restarting the task when the input stream changes.
- Introduced a DekTec SDK-powered plugin for capturing SDI signals from DekTec cards on Ubuntu.
