CHALLENGE
OTT broadcasting platform rejects files
Sometimes media files encoded and packaged for OTT are not accepted by the broadcast system. In order to understand why the files are rejected, the customer needed a deep-analysis tool that can find the errors and present information about them so the encoding engineers know how to fix them for re-ingest.
ELECARD SOLUTION
Integration of Elecard Stream Analyzer as part of the media analysis workflow to perform MPEG-TS analysis and validate streams according to the ETSI TR 101-290 standard.

The solution allows to perform in-depth analysis of transport streams and to find errors in compliance with ETSI TR 101-290 standard.
Stream Analyzer provides detailed information on many parameters of transport streams. In this case it was important to analyze time stamps (PCR, PTS). The tool has a console version which is very convenient as you can automate the analysis and work with a large number of files at once.

Elecard Stream Analyzer integration into the quality control process took only a few hours. The user-friendly intuitive interface allowed engineers to quickly familiarize themselves with the tool and start working immediately.
- Optimized coding algorithms
Using Stream Analyzer, encoding engineers identify errors in media files rejected by the OTT broadcasting platform and optimize encoding algorithms. The customer now has the ability to quickly find out what was wrong with the encoded files and fix it.
- Reduced number of media files rejected by the OTT broadcasting system
Thanks to the identified errors, the percentage of defective media files has significantly decreased.
